Guest speaker - Fi McKay

Auckland now has nearly 50% of its working age population born overseas. Otago is at 15% and increasing.

Have you ever thought about how leadership and inclusive practice contributes to safer, healthier workplaces? As an example, research has shown that 35% of staff in the health sector in New Zealand have experienced work place bullying.  How can issues such as this be addressed?  Fi has recently piloted an inclusive workplace initiative that won a national training and development award in Aged Care.  Addressing issues such as bullying has reduced the attrition of international staff from that workplace by 75% over 15 months.  Come along and hear about the best practices she recommends to build healthy inclusive workplaces where people can bring their ‘whole selves’ to work!

You are guaranteed to find this session both informative and compelling. Fi comes from a 15 year background of assisting employers and industry with the attraction and retention of skilled migrant staff.
